In the sport of polo, we are innovators where
tradition has dominated. Our fresh approach to the sport, giving
athletes what they truly need and want to perform at optimum
levels, has helped us become a recognized symbol both on and
off the field.
PRISA was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prince and Sara developed
name concepts and the two settled on PRISA, the romantic combination
of their two names as well as Spanish for “speed”.
The two heads, designed by Prince, in the style of classic Greco
Roman male and female athletes complete the logo. So there was
the identity. What next?
We started the brand at the top, specifically, outfitting Indios
Chapaleufu II for the triple crown of polo in Argentina. An amazing
team, playing in world class tournaments-talk about a challenge!
Chapa II, long time friends of Prince, approached him with the
idea of PRISA being the clothing supplier for the high season
in Argentina. All agreed that PRISA could take polo in a new
direction with styling and fabric typical of sports in the modern
age, but not found in polo at that time. Prince came up with
a unique inaugural design and, for an added twist, used roman
numerals, something that the team continues to use. Additionally
he created a V (5) jersey for their alternate player another
new concept. The season ended with Indio Chapaleufu II winning
the Argentine Open in Palermo, the most prestigious polo tournament
in the world. What started as a fun little project became a new
tradition between the team, the brand and the sport of polo.
In 2004 we began to expand the brand outside of Argentina, specifically
by approaching US customers. Then in 2005 we acquired our first
European customers. PRISA continues to form new associations
with both high and low goal teams around the world. We take pride
in developing unique team kits for everyone. We have an in-stock
program for teams looking for a quick set of jerseys, and we
continue to improve our extensive range of made-to-order products
for teams wanting to outfit fans, grooms, horses and players
for every condition imaginable. At the same time we are constantly
developing product to use in promotion and off the field – the
next generation of polo lifestyle clothing.
